Shyre Bikes is a British kids’ bike brand from Shrewsbury, Shropshire — premium-but-affordable bikes for ages 18 months to thirteen, from first balance bikes through to proper trail machines. They came to us to relaunch the brand online with a store that felt as considered as the product itself: light, premium and photography-led — never babyish, and, importantly, never obviously a Shopify store.
Kids’ bike sites tend to go one of two ways — nursery-bright and cluttered, or a generic drop-shipping template. Shyre needed neither. The brief was a store that reads premium to the parents who actually buy, makes choosing the right size effortless, and lets real photography do the selling — while staying fast and simple for a small team to run on Shopify.
We designed and built Shyre a bespoke Shopify theme from the ground up — no page-builder, no off-the-shelf template.
A cinematic, photography-led layout with confident type and a single restrained palette, so the bikes carry the page. Premium to parents, still full of energy for the kids who’ll ride them.
Seven colourways, selectable right on the product page with live swatch switching — the store’s accent colour follows whichever bike the child falls for.
A signature homepage section draws a route across an accurate Shropshire outline as you scroll, ending in a full-bleed video finale — real brand storytelling in place of stock filler.
A Bike Finder, size guidance, add-ons and a free-delivery cart, all wired so Shyre can manage the whole store from Shopify without a developer on call.
The website isn’t a gimmick — it’s built to walk each visitor through the story of Shyre. From the bold, rolling-in studio video of the bike, into the scroll-stopping featherlight section, and on to the trail — how many will notice the exact co-ordinates, then Google them and find the corners of Shropshire the bikes are named after? From there it moves through the lifestyle photography, the reasons to buy, and a simple way to find the perfect size.
