Shopify — Store design & build

Shopify stores designed to sell, not just to exist.

A brand-led store built around how people actually buy — not a stock theme with your logo dropped into it.

What a proper Shopify build involves

Anyone can install a theme. The difference between a store that exists and a store that sells is in the detail: how the product pages answer objections, how quickly the thing loads on a phone on 4G, how few obstacles sit between wanting something and having bought it.

We start with what you sell and who buys it, then design around that buying journey. The result looks like your brand rather than a template, and it's built to be fast and findable from day one.

Where most template builds fall down

Themes are designed to suit thousands of shops, which means they suit none of them especially well. Product pages end up thin, the homepage leads with a slider nobody scrolls, and speed degrades as apps are bolted on to fill the gaps. Designing deliberately avoids most of that.

  • Product page templates that answer real customer questions and objections
  • Mobile-first build tested on actual devices, not just a narrow browser window
  • Speed and Core Web Vitals handled during the build, not retrofitted

Frequently asked questions

How long does a Shopify build take?

A focused Starter build typically takes three to four weeks. A larger Growth project runs six to eight, depending on product count, how ready your content and photography are, and any custom functionality.

Do you use a theme or build from scratch?

We usually start from a well-coded, performance-minded base and design heavily on top of it. Starting completely from scratch rarely represents good value for most businesses, whereas a lightly restyled stock theme rarely performs. The middle path gives you a distinctive store without paying for engineering you don't need.

Can I update the store myself afterwards?

Yes, and we set it up expecting you to. You get the store handed over properly along with training on the everyday jobs — adding products, changing content, running discounts.

What do you need from me to start?

Your products and any photography, a sense of who your customers are, and some time early on to talk it through. If photography is the weak link we'll tell you — on most stores it matters more than any design decision.
